Billy Pye

Billy’s life-long love of hockey started when he was 6 years old growing up in the suburbs of Detroit. By the age of 15, as a Midget AAA, his team won the National Championship. At the age of 16 he joined the NAHL where is team was the National Junior Runner Ups.

In 1987 he joined the Northern Michigan Wildcats, an NCAA Division 1 team. After his sophomore year, Billy was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres as a 6th round draft pick. During his junior year, he participated in the World Championships in Bern Switzerland as a goaltender on the USA team. In 1991, his team won the NCAA Division 1 National Championship. That year he was also named an All American goaltender by the Coaches Association.

After graduation, Pye joined the Sabres was part of their organization from 1991-1994. There he was coached by Mitch Korn, named "one of the top 10 Genius' in hockey" by Hockey News.

After leaving the Sabres, Billy continued to play professionally until 2000. During this time he returned to the Northern Michigan Wildcats to be their goaltending coach.

In 2000, Billy retired from professional playing and returned to lead the youth programs that shaped his love of the sport. He joined the Texas Attack program where he was the goalie coach until 2004. During this time he was also the goalie coach for the NAHL’s Lone Star Calvary.  

From 2004-2012 he was the goalie coach for the Dallas Ice Jets, a AAA youth organization.  

In 2012 Billy returned to the Dallas Stars Elite Program where he is to this day. He is also the goalie coach for the Dallas Junior Penguins.

Randall Miller

Born and raised in Houston, Randy developed a passion for hockey at a very young age. From Peewee to Midget Major for the Houston Hitmen and Houston Wild, Randy earned many honors including Goalie of the Year for his high school (2016, 2017, 2018) and was invited to the Texas Affiliate Camp (U14, U16).

He continued his hockey career throughout his college education as the starting goalie for Dallas Baptist University and completed his Bachelors degree in May 2022. While an undergraduate student, Randy lead his team to the Division 2 State Championship game (2020) and the National Tournament (2021).

Randy will be continuing his hockey career and higher education at DBU while serving as the Graduate Assistant to the Men’s Ice Hockey team.

Peter Roessner

Coach Peter Roessner specializes in hockey conditioning and mobility. Having grown up in Grapevine and progressed through the Texas youth hockey system, Peter spent his junior hockey playing for the Boston Junior Blackhawks of the IJHL.

Peter then returned to Texas, enrolling at The University of Texas at Arlington in the kinesiology program. Graduating with his Bachelor of Science, Peter knew his summers spent at The Tretiak School of Goaltending and the knowledge gained in University would serve him well upon entering the strength and conditioning field. He obtained his Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and applied his trade with the NAHL’s Lone Star Brahmas as the assistant strength & conditioning coach. While helping assist with several Brahmas teams, Peter obtained his USA hockey coaching certification as well as his CPR & AED certification from the American Heart Association.

Coach Peter brings passion for the game and knowledge of sport performance that will benefit all athletes.

Anthony D’Aloisio

Anthony played his youth hockey for the Dallas Stars Elite since their inaugural year in 2009.  During this time, the Stars Elite won multiple Rocky Mountain District titles, including a double overtime thriller against Auston Matthews and the Arizona Bobcats. During his U13 year (bantam minor), Anthony shot the puck the length of the ice to score an empty net goal to seal a game against the TPH Thunder. See the video here.

During his junior career, Anthony racked up a .941 save percentage with 4 shutouts, and a .935  save percentage in the playoffs.

Anthony now plays college hockey at the University of Southern Maine where he has racked up many awards prior to his senior year.  In his freshman year, Anthony was a member of the All-Rookie Team as well as winning Rookie of the Week twice and honorable mention of the week twice.  This previous year Anthony won Goaltender of the week twice and honorable mention twice.  He also broke the University of Southern Maine record for shutouts in a season and a career.  Anthony is now entering his senior season.

Konstantin Kovalenko

Konstantin grew up playing AAA hockey in Belgorod, Russia. Later, he would go on to play for their farm team, HC Belgorod and was instrumental in their pro team’s success. After graduating high school, Konstantin moved to the US to pursue his dream of one day playing here in the States. Once in Dallas, Konstantin joined with the Texas Brahmas. It was during that time that Konstantin earned a scholarship to play at Utica College. 

Konstantin has since focused his efforts on coaching and developing the next generation of goaltenders. He currently resides in North Dallas and is extremely happy to be partnering with the Dallas Stars Elite Hockey Club and Dallas Junior Hockey Association.

Ronnie Vogel

Coach Ron grew up in London, Ontario, CAN. where he played his youth hockey until moving on to Junior Hockey. He spent three seasons with the Windsor Spitfires in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) before moving to Texas to play for the Texas Tornado (NAHL) in their inaugural season. While with the Tornado, he was voted MVP of the NAHL and earned an invitation to the Detroit Red Wings training camp.

From there, Ron went on to play 8 seasons of professional hockey in North America and Europe. After the 2008 season he retired from playing but stayed in the professional ranks coaching with the Texas Brahmas in the CHL, capturing a league championship in 2009.

Ron began coaching goaltenders in 1996 at a goalie school in Canada and has remained involved with youth hockey ever since coaching at all levels.

Nate Henry

Coach Nate has been in the fitness industry for over 12 years and has worked with hundreds of athletes ranging from professional and Olympic athletes to youth teams. Aside from his valuable experience in the field, Nate holds certifications and specializations as a NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist, Corrective Exercise Specialist and Youth Exercise Specialist, ACE and NCSF CPT, a member of NESTA (National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association) and is a certified Nutrition Coach.

Nate has recently relocated to Dallas from Denver, CO where he spent several years working at Landow Performance which is one of the more reputable athletic performance companies in the United States with a long history of training professional and Olympic athletes.

He is also the owner of Dallas Strength Coach Inc., was previously Facility Director of MAT (Muscle Activation Techniques) at MindGym, and also the onsite MAT Specialist, where the majority of his clients are treated to assess and help correct muscular imbalances to improve overall performance.

Though Nate has experience working with various audiences in the sports performance sector, he has a niche for hockey and has been instrumental in the development of several hockey players including those currently playing in the USHL, WHL, and at the USNTDP. He also has years of experience working with other Tier 1 AAA youth hockey teams.

Nate resides in Lantana with his wife Kenna and their oldest son Thatcher, daughter Beckett and youngest son Maverick.

Jovon Mclaughlin

Coach Jovon has been in the Sports and Fitness industry for over 20 years. Four of those years were spent training tactical athletes in the United States Air Force. He has worked with over 1500 amateur and professional athletes from the ranks of NFL, MLB and Collegiate softball, baseball, basketball, soccer, football and tactical athletes. He has worked closely over the years with sports science and rehab crews and he brings invaluable systems and tools in the strength and conditioning realm.

Jovon holds certifications through USA Weightlifting, Exos Sports Performance Specialist, Tactical specialist, Applied Neuroscience and Peak performance and Speedo fit, TRX, VIPR, Rossiter, FMS, B-Strong BFR, Cooper Institute to name a few.

He has recently relocated to Dallas from San Diego, CA where he spent several years working at EXOS which is one of the more reputable athletic performance companies in the world where over 12,000 elite athletes are supported in their respective off season.

Through Jovon’s experience with different sports and athletes of all ages, he brings a ton of experience with sports performance analytics, motor control and speed development to the sport of hockey.

As Head Strength and Conditioning Coach Jovon will be establishing a platform for achievement that all athletes in the organization reach and exceed their potential. He is excited to bring energy and is committed to the long term development of the players. He is devoted to keeping the demand for staying at the top of their game, and pushing it to a new level.

Sherry Sutton

Coach Sherry is the founder of HOGA - Yoga for Hockey players. She is a certified instructor through the Yoga Alliance.

When not teaching HOGA, Sherry runs a branding and marketing consulting company.

Mike Soulen

Coach Mike grew up in Irving, Texas where he started playing hockey at the age of 7 as part of the Dallas Jr Stars. At the age of 10 he started playing goalie where he would play select hockey for the Jr Stars and the Lone Star Wolves organizations. In high school, Mike played for the Carrollton Farmers branch school district.  He played 3 years on the varsity team. His senior year he would move to Salt Lake City, Utah to play junior hockey. He would play a total of 3 years of junior hockey where he stared coaching goalies with Billy Pye in the off seasons.  In the Fall of 2006, he committed Saint Mary's University men's hockey where he graduated with a degree in Sports Management. 

Since returning from college Mike has been working part time with the Dallas Stars in their front office. His goalie coaching experience includes Billy Pye’s Goalie Academy, Plano Senior Hockey Organization, Dallas Stars Elite Girls and is currently entering his 3rd season with the Texas Tigers.
